The acoustic plucking of Lo-Fang’s “#88” makes for a distinctive sound. Matthew Jordan Hemerlein of Maryland, the creative brain behind Lo-Fang, is a classically trained musician and he exemplifies his roots in all of his works. Lo-Fang opened for Lorde for a brief period of time in 2014; Lorde went on to say that “#88” was her second favorite song in 2013. “#88” is a dark and moody track with a lyrical composition regarding struggle, depression, loss of hope, and death.
Lo-Fang is a great up-and-coming artist and I encourage you all to check out his recently released, debut album Film Fire – available now.
